Bernard Bricot

Dr. Bernard BRICOT is an orthopaedic surgeon. He was born on 21 July 1948 in Marseille (France).

After 7 years of study at the Faculty of Medicine in Marseille, he passed the competitive examination for the internship in university hospitals in 1974, became a hospital assistant in 1979, a hospital gold medalist in 1980 and a surgeon in 1981.

A member of the Groupe Lyonnais d’Études Médicales in 1978, he became a research fellow the same year and a teacher the following year. He was appointed as an observer at the WHO in 1990.

His first research on the postural tonic system and its sensors began in 1979. In 1985, with the help of some of his collaborators, he created the International College for the Study of Static and became its president.

Since that year he has undertaken a series of courses and conferences both in France and abroad; to date, more than 6000 doctors and health professionals have been trained in his techniques of global postural reprogramming.

Member of the steering committee of the World Academy of Posturology and Associated Therapies (W.A.P.A.T.).

Member of the Association Posture et Équilibre since 1997, teacher at the Ecole des Cadre de Bois Larris from 1998 to 2000.

Contract Professor at the University Tor Vergate in Rome (Italy), department of Professor Palattella (DU of Posturology). Professor at the University of Palermo (Italy), department of Professor Caradonna (DU of Posturology).

Lecturer at the Faculty of Toulouse (DU of Occlusodontology) since 1993. Contract professor at the University “La Sapienza” of Rome in the “Master” of Posturology department of Professor Amabille. Professor at the University of Bari, Chieti and Urbino (Italy).

Member of the Committee of the Italian- Brazilian association for the study of Movement and Posture (Paolist University of Medicine, Sao Paulo).

Member of the scientific committee of the Revista Brasileira de Postura e Movimento.

Member of the scientific committee of the journal: EUROPEAN SPINAL RESONANCES.

Member of the board of the S.I.R.E.R. responsible for “posturology” and new technologies.

Honorary President of the Italian CIES, Teacher in charge.

Contract professor at the University “Aldo Moro” of Bari (Italy) in the “Master of Posturology” department of Professor Fischetti.
